Therapist Supervision
I offer one-to-one supervision for APHP members, either face-to-face or by telephone. Also e-mail supervision is used where appropriate. Please check the requirements of your level of APHP membership or if unsure, please feel free to ask me.
Training Analysis
Newly qualified therapists may be in a position to undergo their own training analysis. This is something I cater for and you are treated in the same way as any client. Occasionally I help students who have yet to complete their studies, but who need such help prior to graduation.
Couples Therapy
As well as seeing clients on an individual basis, I occasionally work with couples where appropriate. Working in couples allows clients to speak freely to each other while I observe their communication style and content. In such cases, this enables me to guide the couple onto more mutually beneficial territories.
Workplace Visits
I am very happy to attend offices and other workplaces where smoking cessation, staff motivation or stress-busting is required. This is also an opportunity for staff to express any personal issues they may wish to deal with in a one-to-one session. This can be very beneficial for the company as a whole, particularly if the member of staff has been lacking motivation or focus in some areas of their work. Many people who agree to a course of relaxation soon see the potential benefits of working through other problems at the same time. I can tailor the session to the individual's needs, normally working to a minimum of 30 minutes per person, with hours to suit the employer.
