Well, hypnosis is a powerful tool and, used appropriately, could help create amazing change in most people.  But it is also simply a way to aid communication and cooperation with the subconscious mind.  It's the work that takes place in hypnosis that creates the changes you desire.  Hypnosis alone may be relaxing and restorative, but without the therapy part, very little else is likely to happen.  So it's crucially important that the therapy chosen is right for you.

By taking a look around this site, you'll see that I am trained and experienced in many aspects of therapy and over the years, I have moved toward an integrative approach.  It is easy to focus solely on your symptoms, particularly when you are suffering so acutely, but I see the whole person sat in front of me.  I work to help that person and I'm very interested in how your issue is affecting you.  Yes, there are tried and tested techniques for particular problems, but everyone has their own unique story to tell and I listen carefully to all the clues.  Sometimes formal hypnosis isn't even necessary or desirable.  Other times, it seems that nothing else will do.  Either way, be assured that there is probably a way to help you feel better - if you weren't born with this difficulty, your mind knows you can live without it.

Appointments are potentially available on Mondays to Saturdays between 10am and 5pm (last appointment starts at 4pm).  I am occasionally also available for phone consultations in the evenings at 7.30pm.  The first and last appointments of the day are the most popular and may be subject to a waiting list.  However, I will aim to accommodate you as early as possible at your preferred time.
