MSRC exists purely because of its fundraising events and the support of people just like you. We receive no external funding or support as we do not want our freedoms of speech to be compromised.

We therefore rely on you to support us in any way you can. There are many events and opportunities available to help us raise the funds that we desperately need.

Whether you are thinking of Skydiving, or taking part in a three legged race, if you are doing it for MSRC you are part of the team. Any way that you can dream of raising funds for MSRC is of great use to us.

We don't mind if you raise £10 or £10,000 as long as you have fun and keep safe. That is what TeamMSRC is all about - being part of being the best.

Personal Involvement

The short answer to "How can I help Support the MSRC?" is that you can support us in any way you wish. On this page we hope to point you to many ways you can get involved in raising much needed funds for MSRC.

Are you thinking of making or changing a Will? If so, please consider leaving MSRC a legacy and help us help others affected by MS. For more details please go to our  page. Leaving a legacy to the MSRC in your Will

Support does not necessarily mean in financial ways, as some people do not have the means to do this,  though obviously funding is one of our major concerns. However, you can support us by such means as promoting our ongoing fundraising initiatives to friends, family and work colleagues.

If you would like to support the MSRC in a financial way, there are a great many ways you can get involved including:

The Virgin London Marathon - is our main source of income from the TeamMSRC runners, walkers and crawlers who take part in the London Marathon each year for us. We are very proud of our participants, some of which have Multiple Sclerosis themselves. At present our our exciting magazine New Pathways written for and by people affected by MS, goes out to over 7000 people. Why not subscribe yourself, or, give a year's subscription to someone you know?

Have you ever considered or heard of  Payroll Giving? This is a scheme to help employers to enable their employees to donate each month and take advantage of tax relief on their donation. For example, if an employee donated £10 per month, the donation is deducted before PAYE tax, so in effect the donation is £7.80, giving the donor tax relief and the MSRC receiving the full donation without having to reclaim the tax.

Events

Why not support us by Getting involved in an event ? Apart from running Marathons and Trekking through the jungle, there are many other events you may wish to take part in. Maybe a Skydive?

Here's a thought, if everyone who knows about the MSRC were to hold a coffee morning or a pub darts match for us every so often, they could transform the work that we can do, even if the event raises just a modest amount of money it can all add up to something big.

Quite simply, a lot of people doing a little can make a big difference when all their efforts come together.

Corporate Involvement

The MSRC is also happy to work with any Company to promote our work and develop their social support programmes.

The only thing we won't do is endorse any drug, treatment or product simply to make money - much as we need it!

The philosophy of the MSRC is to only pass on comments from anyone affected by MS about such items rather than ever just pushing a view of our own.
